    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

My anatomy class was one of the hardest, but most rewarding classes I have ever taken. During the first month of this class, I really struggled to understand why the class was set up so difficultly. I didn't understand why students weren't allowed to have a word bank when we were labeling the muscles and bones of the human body, for instance. It wasn't until second semester when I started a Sports Medicine class where I realized I still knew a majority of the material that I was taught by Mrs. Carmody from the beginning of the school year. Not only was I able to remember the location of various muscles and bones, but also I was able to still spell them from memory. I was very proud of how much I learned from my anatomy class and how much I was able to retain. Because of this, I would strongly recommend this class to any student who would like to learn more about the human body and how it works.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the dissections we got to perform. Mrs. Carmody supplied us with helpful instructions, but still allowed us to do the dissections on our own with a lab partner. We dissected many different structures, from sheep brain to pig heart. These dissections were very helpful because they taught us the location of many different important anatomical structures through a very hands-on approach.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For a student to succeed in this class, you can't wait until the night before to study for a test. Quizlet is a very helpful and useful tool to help a student to memorize important information. My best advice for studying different anatomical diagrams is to print off blank diagrams and to fill them in yourself to see what you need to study more and to see if you're capable of spelling these difficult terms.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As a student interested in physical therapy this was the perfect introduction to Anatomy. The knowledge I have gained is incredible.

    Course highlights:

We learned about the structures of the body and functions of organs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You will need to memorize many different terms. If you had a hard time dissecting in Biology this may not be the class for you.
