Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My undergraute advisor and professor Lynn Rapaport leads one the most dynamic sociology courses out there! Her class taught me how to view and think critically about the world by adopting a sociological lense. After completing the course my worldview and outlook was dramatically transformed. It made me realize the inner connectivity of social norms and how they manifest in other forms in other disciplines. It provided me with the skills needed to navigate an ever complicating world.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of the course was our assignment to write about any current or past phenomena, as long as we analyzed it from a sociological perspective. One of my classmates wrote about the sociology of hair!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come into it with an open mind, be willing to reflect on how you were socialized while growing up, and think outside of the box for the final research paper!
