    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because although an ample amount of homework comes with it, it is all worth it because of the better writer it makes you.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight was the last paper I wrote because I had the opportunity to choose my topic based on previous units. I learned to think deeper when writing a paper and pulling different angles to make the paper unique.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to work on papers outside of class and go in for help often. The only way to improve is to bounce ideas off of other people and think outloud to find those details and angles to make your paper stand out.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because I believe that it has prepared me for college classes, specifically for writing in such courses. I have now been exposed to how I am supposed to write college papers and have received feed back on my writing that I know is similar to how a college professor will view my paper.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would include the peer discussions and revisions which really help formulate my thinking along with the resources provided, such as the WRAC and the Reading and Writing book. These books are good examples of writing and I enjoyed learning from them. I learned how to organize my thinking and to expand my ideas, tying aspects together and makin connections.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be aware that this grade can transfer on to your college transcript. You need to be ready to spend time on your papers and to take this class seriously, it is not one that your teacher will walk you through every step so you need to take initiative with this class and make it your own.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I love this class because although it is a college class, it isn't too fast paced and still allows creativity in writing. When it comes to writing, most teachers prefer you to write a certain way but this class allows all of the students to take each idea in different directions.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write precise and concise, like any good future college student should write. I also learned how to analyze articles. By analyze, I don't mean rhetorical analysis but rather what the author is saying and WHY he/she is saying it in that way.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For future students considering this course I suggest you do your homework and don't worry about having a perfect essay the first time you sit down to write.
