Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Atkins is possibly the best teacher to walk the planet. She makes Calculus, one of the most difficult high school courses, incredibly simple to understand.

    Course highlights:

I learned about derivatives and integrals. It was easy to learn and I use them in Ap Physics C now.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and do the homework. If you don't, you will struggle and you will not succeed.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although the class sounds hard and can sometimes be hard, you learn so much in there. I can honestly say that AP Calculus AB is one of Rhodes classes that keeps you on your feet in a good way.

    Course highlights:

Over the course of the class, I not only learned a lot of math concepts, but I also learned to be organized. To be in that class, you have to be paying attention at all times or you will miss something. It keeps you on track and your binders organized because one missing assignment can drop your grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to take really thorough notes, and write the examples she works out on the board. Also, be really organized; do not forget to do homework or keep your binder organized.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for students who enjoy a challenge and are dedicated to his or her school work. This class requires a lot of work outside of class because of the difficulty of the course. If an individual has the drive and dedication i highly recommend this course.

    Course highlights:

Not only did i gain a higher level of math education, but i also gained confidence in myself while taking this rigorous math course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in any class you have to study, but the best thing I did to study was watch GetAFive videos. They are extremely helpful and go through each of the steps necessary to work each problem. If i wasn't understanding the way a problem was done in class, i would go home and write out steps for each problem, which was a tremendous help.
