    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class highly because you will actually learn something. Though Mr. Hooker is a kind, caring man, he is also a serious educator. He will not allow you to do anything less than what you are fully capable of and he pushes every one of his students to do well.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course has been learning about Trig functions. I found it to be a highlight because I did not understand the concept at first. I literally was so lost I was ready to check out. Then I went to Mr. Hooker during one of my free periods and he spent the entire period breaking it down for me. I learned how the trig functions work and I really understood what we were learning by the time I had to go to my next class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're confused about anything, go straight to Mr. Hooker the day that you realize you're lost. Nobody can teach you like Mr. Hooker. Your friends and any tutor you invest in won't have your back like he will. If you keep going to Mr. Hooker your grades will never drop and you'll excel in his class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Math has always come easy to me but also the concepts are easy to pick up. Also the teacher I had would repeat and repeat to make sure it sticks. Also the teacher was available for help after school or during free period for any questions you may have.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me would have to be exponential and logistic regressions. I say this because there are so many parts to each that you have to remember. We would do small thing that lead to the bigger picture. Doing problems in parts makes it so when it come to putting it all together we understand everything. I also love seeing how each part bands together to solve one problem.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pay attention and ask questions if you need to. If you still aren't grasping the concepts them I suggest you go see the teacher on a free period or after class to get the necessary help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mr. Hooker will challenge you but will also ensure your academic success if you do your part.

    Course highlights:

I am still taking this course, but I enjoyed learning the asymptotes and different ways to solve the same problem. Currently I am learning about rational functions, which I find very intriguing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be willing to succeed. Make sure that you put your best foot forward in order to elevate your learning. Don't give up before you try! You can always do a little more than you think you can.
