Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class really should set the standard for how English classes should be. The class was highly interactive, challenging, and all around enjoyable; I loved how professor Gomez pushed our creativity over standardized format, while at the same time refining our skills as writers.

    Course highlights:

The biggest difference deviating from a normal course was the choice of reading material; they were graphic novels that we then were able to analyze and discuss in class. I learned a lot about symbolism and higher meanings of representations in literature while taking this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you consider this course, it is worth it to you to keep all of the material professor Gomez gives to you and look at it from time to time. He also uses a wordpress website to update his schedule and provide other resources for students, so make sure you check that at the start and end of each week. Use your mind creatively! Don't be afraid to make mistakes in your writing because in truth, there's really no wrong answer. Writing is a creative process, which professor Gomez brings out the best of in you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class tested my patience. I had a hard time adapting to its structure but after I had to change myself to align with its tough essay assignments and menial weekly vocabulary words I enjoyed it!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to fully make works cited page that fits to MLA format. This class taught me how to structure my essays in such a way that it has no errors or organizational issues.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be willing to spend time making an outline for an essay, then a rough draft essay, then a revised essay, then a final draft essay. Most assignment submissions happen online so have access to a computer with Internet.
