    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is mandatory, so there is not an option to take it, but it is a good class. Within this class you will come to understand many aspects of science more clearly and be introduced to some new parts. It paves the way for any college science courses you will take in future years. It is a very informative class.

    Course highlights:

In this class I came to understand more about the periodic table, and how elements on it work and interact with each other. I also broadened my knowledge on many subjects that were talked about in my physical science class freshman year.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In chemistry you have to pay attention everyday and take good notes to be successful. Be willing to ask questions on topics you do not understand and go ask for help outside of the normal class time when you are struggling. Do not procrastinate studying for tests, utilize all the time possible. Definitely do not fall behind in class or you will be lost

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Coleman is the closest you will get to a college level course.

    Course highlights:

We learned all of the basics of most areas of Chemistry. He made sure we knew process, not just how to pass a multiple choice test.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes and listen to everything he says. His stories are always relevant to the material he is teaching.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher, while he takes a while to get used to, explains the material thoroughly and does not move too fast for the class. If you have a problem understanding material, he will always sit down and help you through and see what you are doing wrong.

    Course highlights:

The teacher always found a way to make it interesting by switching it up periodically.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to catch and retain all information he spits out at you, you MUST TAKE detailed notes. If you do not, good luck in the class.
