    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Botany is an in-depth course, Professor Otto knows that so is very helpful and gives out many study aids and other helpful tools to help her classes succeed. She is also funny, nice and passionate so it helps the class go by faster

    Course highlights:

I learned SO much about all the plants that are around me everyday! Mushrooms, molds and lichens were especially interesting to me

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make study-guides before each lab off of images from Google so you know what to look for and what to expect to see from the slides.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend Botany 105 because it is amazing to learn about the natural environment around us. I guarantee after taking this course there is no way that a person could not look at their surroundings in a new perspective.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were root, shoot, and stem anatomy and functions. Also, students will learn about plant modifications, lichens, evolutionary traits, slime molds, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend to go to weekend lab hours at least one hour per day and really study for the class. Also, I would recommend forming study groups, teaching each other and learning from one another is a very effective tool.
