Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As students get further into their field of study, communication is needed to speak with colleagues. Sometimes job applications require an essay, and students need to display their writing skills in a professional manner. Taking Professor Hall will allow students to know how to right in correct sentences, and properly communicate their thoughts in an effective manner.

    Course highlights:

Whenever students wrote a paper, Professor Hall would choose the best paper to read. Not only did he read the best paper, he read everyone else paper. By reading everyone papers, the class became more comfortable with sharing their thoughts among their peers. Students were able to give constructive criticism in hopes that their peer improve their writing skills. Towards the end of class everyone complemented each other on how well their papers were. Knowing that he was able to get students to support one another was the highlight of this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would lets students know that giving up is not an option. There will be ups and downs, but always keep your end-goal in mind. Remind yourself everyday that you are going to be a better writer than you were before walking into the course. It may be hard, but never compare yourself to the next person, rather try to learn from them.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Junious is a hard edged professor that you are bound to learn a lot from. None of her assignments are too hard, but you have to work hard if you want a high grade from her. She offers extra credit, but do not ask for extra credit, and not do it. Though Professor Junious is a tough grader, I guarantee that you will finish her course with knowledge that you did not previously have.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were when Professor Junious would give us these in class writing assignments. We would have one hour to write a paper on the topic of her choosing. This taught me how to swiftly organize my topics, and since Professor Junious was very strict on work being in MLA format, this helped me memorize the specs for MLA format. Professor Junious also taught us different tricks, and rules to abide by when writing a paper, how to use parenthetical citations, how to do a proper outline, and if there was ever a question, she would have no problem answering it. Because she is so intimidating for a small lady, Professor Junious taught me in the very first week of class to never be afraid of an educator , or an educator's challenge.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask questions. The moment you let a question go unanswered is the moment you put yourself in a dilemma. Always do thorough research before writing a paper, Professor Junious will pick you apart for using personal opinion if the assignment is does not call for it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class will teach you all the writing styles. The professor works you very hard and makes sure you understand everything before you leave. He is very good at pushing you to understand. He also tell dorky little jokes that keep the class interesting.

    Course highlights:

One of my highlights is that the class is available at night. Which was important for day time workers. The professor also always gives you enough work to keep you busy and focused.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You need to stay on top of your assignments. He does give you a lot of them with different due dates so make sure to have a calendar to keep up. Also make sure to reread everything before you turn it in. He is very strict about proper grammar!
