Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This entire sociology class was the best. It was really easy to understand because the professors teaching method was one that made you think and be interactive. She posed real life events and actually had us to critically think things through.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the assignments. It taught me how to budget money for a four person household, make a budget for a wedding, and analyze other lives in depth.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Just be sure to take what you learn and apply it to everyday life. It really helps a lot.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is knowledgeable on her field, and continues studying. As the chairman of her department, she is open minded and the situations covered can be applied to real life situations nationwide. One of the fundamentals covered in detail pertaining to the income gap between genders really surprised me as I was unaware of the fact. Apparently, males and females, despite holding the same position and having the same education, have an existing income gap where the males have a higher income in comparison to the females. As the degree increases, the income gap becomes greater and more evident.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course consisted of, but were not limited to, learning about the community, and how to provide for the community while acknowledging the differences between males and females. Many of the topics mentioned in class were different due to the difference in sex, and, as mentioned above, a big one was the existence of income gap in gender. Apparently, males and females, despite holding the same position and having the same education, have an existing income gap where the males have a higher income in comparison to the females. As the degree increases, the income gap becomes greater and more evident. Another highlight was how, despite claiming to have equality and acceptance of intellectual females, the females still have difficulty holding power as they are often thought of by other females and by males to be incapable of holding power.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise the students considering this course to review their notes at least once a week as there is much to learn. Also, the students should read from their course book as they cover the chapters in class because the book provides many important details which are not mentioned in the class discussions. Keep up with the discussion boards which are weekly, and make sure to reply to the discussions of classmates because aside from failing if not done, there exists many different opinions which can be surprising. Study for the tests because they will hurt your grade if you do poorly. As for the essay, research in depth and ask the teacher to revise your essay and ask a classmate to peer review the essay because it is worth the most points in the class.
