Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Shiu is an amazing teacher. Even as a hybrid summer course, I learned so much more than I did in Macroeconomics. She used several games and in class activities which helped students learn concepts easily. Significant amount of extra credit opportunities. I would recommend this class to any and everyone.

    Course highlights:

I learned a more in depth knowledge of economics. There's a recap of supply and demand from Macroeconomics. Then we covered characteristics of the several different market types, the Laffer curve, graphing consumer and producer surplus, tax revenue, deadweight loss and so much more. You may read this and be overwhelmed, but it's so much simpler in Shiu's class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you were good at macro, that does not foretell you will be good at micro. It is a fun class and if you study and pay enough attention it's very easy to understand. If not, get a tutor!
