Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Cody not only cares about his students, but he also related the info we learned to the real world. There was a lot of reading and writing, but what do you expect from a writing class?

    Course highlights:

The teacher was a Grad Student. He cared about every student and gave grade reports frequently. We learned what should go into academic writing and research projects.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read all your assignments. Ask for Cody to review your essays before the due date (he will if you email a draft to him).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Academic research and Writing is a course that, obviously, requires to write. However, instead of feeling intimidated by the prompt or page requirement, it makes you feel confident in your writing. Professor Parish will, in no doubt, point you in the right direction if you ask for help. Help is also available through the writing center on campus, if needed.

    Course highlights:

This course allowed me to become aware of what I needed to improve wrong. I am able to point out what is wrong in my writing in order to seek help and/or try to fix it. Class is always interesting and fun as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed as a student, you must be prepared to work. This course can be a lot of work if you do not start your essay's/homework ahead of time. Also, do not be afraid to seek help or ask a friend to peer review any writing you are unsure of.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It helps you to improve your writing, analysis, and communication skills.

    Course highlights:

I have learned proper punctuation of words. I was encouraged to use active voice in my writing instead of passive and have been shown the effectiveness. I learned how to rhetorically analyze and compose pieces of writing and film. I have also learned how to develop a research paper and correctly crate a works cited page in MLA.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to do your work, hand in assignments on time, and every peer review participation gives you a 95 % percentage point of the grade towards your paper.
