    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

if your going into the medical field, this is a required course. I became a germ phoebe afterwards though! You will learn about a lot of bacteria and such. Many people were failing out of this class so study hard!

    Course highlights:

Germs, germs, germs!! That's all I can recall at this time.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared. Study hard and listen to the teacher. It is doable if you pay attention and study.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to all of you medical majors! She is an amazing, and very knowledgeable professor. She is caring to those who are making an effort. When trying to get an A in pre-reqs for which ever path you are taking, this class seems very intimidating, and Azimpour makes Microbiology fun, and she gives some extra credit.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was having the lecture power points we used in class on the college website for us to view while we studied at home. I learned about several different bacteria and how they invade different species, and how they are transmitted, also learning how easily it can be spread. I learned different antibiotics get abused and eventually become immune to anyone's immune system. I leaned how there are a wide range of bacteria that can grow at different temperatures and how some need air and some do not. The list goes on.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course be sure to be at every class, the professor may put something on the exam that she said during lecture and that isn't on the power point or in the book. She will also, hit what will be on the exam from some of the power points. You do not want to miss that! A good technique for myself that helped me succeed in studying is reading the book, reading the lecture notes as well as the power points, even though it is very time consuming it will be worth it. But it may not work for you, it just really depends on what works for you. Making flash cards is a great idea, and talking out loud about what you learned is a great way for it to stick as well.
