    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend this course because Professor DeSurra somehow manages to break all students out of their comfort zone in order to speak in front of a classroom setting. I am on the more timid side and wouldn't usually be relaxed before having to make a public presentation in front of my peers, but he does a wonderful job in creating a welcoming atmosphere in his classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned that everybody is just as nervous as you are at first! Most People don't actually enjoy to speak their true perspective on something in front of an audience, just as you don't. I also learned how to memorize large pieces of content and the importance of eye contact and body language!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be nervous! It's a GE requirement, take Chris DeSurra and get it out of the way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

In general, being able to speak to people is an important part of being a human being.

    Course highlights:

The knowledge I gained from taking this course helped me to learn the different "art forms" of speaking and that being able to speak is a major factor to developing an individual's confidence because as you let your voice be heard, you respect yourself more. The highlights was listening to other speeches, learning, and improving as a student.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared. Be organized and have the mentality that you are there to learn.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because the professor was very thorough with the subject and taught very well. She made the class so that everyone paid attention and learned.

    Course highlights:

The Speeches and talking in front of the class were great because it helped everyone with being comfortable talking in front of people. i learned how to speak to an employer to sound more professional and help myself stand out more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice your speeches and do not wait until the day before to try and memorize your speech because it wont help.
