Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is amazing and has helped me improve my writing. Mrs. Welker does an amazing job of helping students recognize their weaknesses and how to fix them. She genuinely cares about her students and how they do both in and outside of school.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was having an environment where I could stumble and have someone waiting to help me back up. Mrs. Welker would not run the race for me, so to speak, but she would show me the right way to go. As a result, I learned that I am capable of succeeding on my own and figuring out questions that seem impossible to solve. With this, I learned how to write better papers without my teacher showing me how.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to put the time into your papers and ask questions if you do not understand something. Being confused and putting minimal work in will cause you to struggle and you will not benefit from the course. The course only works if you put work into it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course has helped to encourage my writing style and allowed me to explain my thoughts in a way that others can understand and relate.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course is simply learning to develop your writing style.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Relax and ensure you have understood the assignment. There is nothing worse than writing a paper and realizing it doesn't answer the prompt.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She is blunt and she does not sugar coat anything. I have become ten times the writer that I used to be when I took this class.

    Course highlights:

When she put a big red slash mark through my whole first body paragraph of my observation paper. I learned that I was a horrible writer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Critique papers to the best of your ability and have plenty of first drafts.
