    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Mitra is a tough grader but happy to help. I have met with him four times on campus throughout the 8 week course. He wants all the students to pass but also wants the students to understand Macroeconomics! Read through his power points and do not hesitate to ask any questions. He likes the throw in trick questions on the quizzes with weird wording so read carefully!

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how other countries economic decisions effect the United States economy. You cover a lot about supply and demand, and how you as a consumer effects the economy and how you can predict how the economy will shift.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you dedicate plenty of time to this course. You have to read his power points and the book to pass the class. The answers are not on google and a lot of the questions on his quizzes and tests are graph questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course as being from a science background, this course helped me improve my concepts of business and world economy. It was too difficult for me to understand the concepts initially but as I got a better exposure of the course with time, I totally caught up on it.

    Course highlights:

I learned about Basic principals of Economics, Supply and Demand in economy, The Monetary System, Aggregate Demand and Aggregate Supply and various other topics. The main highlight of the course was the basic understanding of the concepts without which understanding economics is impossible.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go through the reference book text before solving the problems. Keep reviewing the problems and the formulas.
