    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Accelerated Chemistry was a very difficult course, but due to Mr. McLaughlin's teaching and the materials, the AP was manageable and the Qual labs afterwards were great.

    Course highlights:

For me, the highlights of this course were the qual labs. It was great applying things I had learned all year to figure out chemical puzzles.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't let yourself fall behind!! If you have an extra Saturday or Sunday afternoon, make sure that you are completely caught up and completely understand the material so that you can start off the week at the top of your game.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

We really got into advanced topics, beyond the textbook and made the AP test much easier!

    Course highlights:

The sequence begins with a review of basic chemistry and chemical reactions, and moves quickly to cover topics of thermochemistry, atomic structure, nuclear chemistry, bonding, states of matter, equilibria, kinetics and electrochemistry

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to participate in class projects and find a good partner!
