    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you struggle with writing essays and understanding the rules of how to properly write papers, then I would highly recommend this class. It taught me things that I would not have thought of when writing papers, things that will help me in the future.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the different types of papers I had to write throughout the quarter. Each paper helped me understand how to make my paper better, each in a different way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice I would give future students for this course are to really pay attention and learn what the instructor is teaching. I am not a huge English person, but I know that it is a requirement for me and it will help me in the future the more I learn.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was only required because of my low SAT scores coming in. I didn't learn anything that I didn't already know, and the instructor was just plain awful. I'm sure other professors probably had a better grasp on the material, but not Janine. She would often scramble around, never had clear expectations, and often relied on her teaching assistant for help.

    Course highlights:

I did write a lot of papers though, so that was nice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you can, don't take this class with Janine. Also, even though most of the covered material is review, please take the class seriously. The passing grade for the class is a B, but it should be no problem if you do the work and show up.
