Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is an excellent starter course for marine science. It gives a lot of basic information that will be useful in the marine science field.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basic understanding of marine oceanography. From how waves work in the ocean to why certain organism live where they do. We went on several field trips to Winyah Bay, off the coast of South Carolina, and did water testing and biodiversity testing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make flashcards of the terms that the professor gives you. Attend class everyday and buy the book. Also do not try to cram for the exams the night before. Give yourself plenty f time to study.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because its a great introduction class for marine science majors.

    Course highlights:

What I gained from this source is the education about every field of marine science. The course was a broad introduction to fields in marine science. Incase a student isn't sure about which field they want to proceed in, the course MARINE SCI 101 will help them narrow their decision.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take and study ALL notes that are given in class. Also don't forget to complete any assignments.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Overall, the course was extremely hard and he is one of the harder teachers but you will learn the most with this teacher than with any other.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much from this course whether it was the way the currents move and wind and the plankton and nekton located in the ocean. Out of all of my roommates who have the same major, I learned the most however I had the most difficulty.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study A LOT!!!!! It will suck in the beginning but next semester when you understand more than other people in the harder classes, you owe it to him.
