    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is one of the core reqs, but this course was made far too difficult than need be.

    Course highlights:

I had to drop because of the insurmountable amount of reading and writing and pop quizzes. It was interfering with my other classes for it to just be a 101 class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

read everything and write everything down and go over your notes the night before each class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You get the material straight up from the book and lecture. Also if you do the work like he tells you to do the work then he will give you a reasonable grade.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was the midterm because I studied the material he told me to study and got a decent grade which ended out being my grade for the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Write everything down he has on the slides and the books. Also do not be afraid to ask him to slow down during lecture because he sometimes goes too fast. Write down his specific directions for each assignment and follow those directions and you will pass.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I went into this class not knowing what to expect, and I absolutely fell in love with Sociology. Dr. Stone is an amazing teacher. Funny guy, likes to joke, is very chill. I kept my notebook from this course, because of how much I loved it. Definitely recommend.

    Course highlights:

I learned about different cultures and people, and the predetermined ideas we have of each. You learn how to really look at a person without being biased by former ideas about them.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just show up and pay attention. You'll learn a lot.
