    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Nava is the head of the College of Business Administration at DeAnza College and he is the best Accounting/Business professor I have ever had. He is very organized and extremely thorough in his instructions and course design. He also expects a lot out of his students and commends you when you do good work. I was added 2 weeks into the 8 week course, so I had a lot of catching up to do, but Mr. Nava was very helpful and flexible in allowing me to add the course so late.

    Course highlights:

The financial analysis project was very difficult and time consuming, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had throughout the course of my education. The final project was one that I was extremely happy about and one of my proudest achievements.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I took this course online, and added it two weeks late, but I still got an A. It took A LOT of reading and actually doing all of the homework in order to know what to do when the test came around. Mr. Nava is an excellent professor and is an example of what a real educator should be like.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Salah exceeded my expectations as a professor. He is a great teacher who truly cares about students and their ability to understand concepts.

    Course highlights:

Mr. Salah uses real world examples from both his personal experience and local examples. I learned everything I needed to know about Financial Accounting (part 2) and still remember concepts such as the statement of cash flows and bonds an notes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You will have to study, however, you have to study in any class. Both his financial and managerial classes take work but you won't be sorry you took him. He is understanding of students and thrives on helping you succeed! Lots of practice problems in class that he will walk you through!
