    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Shagun is the type of professor who isn't going to let you slack off. She can recognize the fact that we are all human beings going through our own tough situations but you have to work hard to succeed. She gives constructive and helpful criticism but won't baby you!

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course were the speechs in which you got to open up and be yourself. When you got the freedom to express yourself and push your comfort limits. I learned how to relieve speech anxiety and learned to appreciate how important and crucial speech classes are.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this class lightly. If you think you are going to breeze by without putting in any work you will struggle. If you are willing to put in the time and effort to succeed you will do well in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My classmates and instructor made me feel accepted. Everyone is open to hear what I have to say and my perspective on things. The essays are 3 to 5 minutes long so not the horrible. You choose the topic you want to discuss, so it makes it a lot more interesting.

    Course highlights:

My speech anxiety is a major reason I decided to take this course. I know it’s normal to have such things occur, but I would love to feel in control by avoiding them as much as possible. This class has helped me with this. Instead of avoiding my speech problems it has made me face them and made me much stronger speaker. It also taught me to be more open minded to other’s views.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Everyone is really nervous about public speaking, so don’t worry you’re not the only one! The readings are very important, they give you closure on the lesson and can help your speeches. You have to participate, test won’t get you that A! Don’t worry about sharing what you think, everyone has their opinion’s and their beliefs.
