Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He is easily the most personable professor in the world. He makes you see things differently without saying you're wrong. He encourages you to act differently without sacrificing who you are. He is incredibly fun and he has amazing lectures. (Seriously, even if I didn't do a good response make sure to look up Sal Breiter at DeAnza College, California. He deserves all the praise in the world.)

    Course highlights:

There was not a single highlight of this course. The course itself was the highlight of my quarter; maybe even of my year. I learned about trophic cascades, civil revolutions, communism, how to write better, how to live fuller. If you go into this class hoping for a spoken textbook then you will be let down. This class is an experience. If you don't like this class then you must have been trying really hard to not like it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's easy: do your work, do the reading, show up to class. If you respect the professor he will respect you. If you do the minimum you get the minimum grade. Just be honest (in everything) and you will easily get a B.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is chock full of practical and interesting ideas from a myriad of subjects within the humanities. You will learn more about yourself and the world from this class than anywhere else. There are tons of TedTalks and fun readings that will generate a response from every individual. You will realize that you, too, have the power of creativity.

    Course highlights:

The process of creativity, of thinking outside the box, of entertaining new ideas and pondering the insights of humanity

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read all of the books. Take notes. Listen to the lectures. Self-reflection is key.
