This class was tough.
I recommend this course not only because it finishes the entire series for organic chemistry, but the professor is amazing at teaching the course. Organic chemistry is not an easy subject and it is important to find a professor that will provide you with the knowledge that is required for a strong foundation of the subject; specially important for students who are planning on to go on to graduate school.
Through lecture and lab, properties, preparations, and reactions of aliphatic and aromatic acids, amines, ketones, and heterocyclic compounds are studied. Synthesis of compounds and analysis of unknown compounds are emphasized.

Advice for students:
Solve as many problems as you can find; several textbooks will have different questions for you to solve. Understand the concepts and try not to memorize. Memorizing will only hurt you in the long run. Manage your time wisely, dedicate yourself in studying the material, and always read ahead before lecture.
