    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Karen Swett guides the students in mastering the art of public speaking. She leads through positive examples, beneficial lessons and lectures, and personal interactions that make all students at ease in the environment.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight would be the peer reviews we did in preparation for our speeches. It forced us to practice and mingle with other students we didn't typically interact with. I formed great friendships through this. The day in which we did persuasive speeches was another highlight; the speeches were all well-polished and incredibly informative.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into the course ready to learn and make friends.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is one of the best I've taken at GCC. Not only am I improving on my public speaking skills, but also communication in general.

    Course highlights:

Professor Smith is definitely a reason why I strongly recommend this course. He gives the best feedback and help for you to become better at public speaking. This is how I learned how to project my voice, make eye contact, and give strong speeches!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Public speaking can be intimidating to almost everyone. Specially when you know you are getting graded for it. My advice is to not let anxiety bring you down. Everything is going to be fine. The point of the class is to learn and you definitely will!
