    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

She will ensure that your questions get answered and explains everything in ways for every student to understand. It is best to do the homework she asks for you to do even though it wont be graded, but doing the homework will help your understanding of the subject. Almost every question on the exam will be exactly the same as the homework that was asked of.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about polynomials, and graphing. This class will show you the basics of what you will need for any other math class you will be taking. I am currently in MAT 187 and a lot of what we are learning is review thanks to this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework. Study for exams. Ask questions if you don't understand. She is always willing to help and willing to explain further into any problem if you ask. She makes sure that every student is ready and walks around the room to help anyone.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course because it is very fast paced for the material. The class is also three hours long and it is really difficult to pay attention during a math clas for that amount of time.

    Course highlights:

I learned that particular math skills are difficult if you haven't seen them in a while. I learned that math constantly builds on itself. Even if you think that you know a shortcut or a better way to solve a problem, use the method that the instructor has taught you, otherwise you will be marked wrong.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This class does not count towards your degree. If you test into is and need to take the course, go ahead, but I wouldn't recommend taking a 4 week fast track class during the summer.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it goes over a lot of material from past math classes and shows how it can be used in higher classes. It creates a great transition if you're looking to go further in math.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to relate different material together. That helps me a lot because it creates less work when all you have to do is take what you already know and add a couple steps to get to a new point.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class! It's math and math is always going to be complicated but it makes it easier to follow along when you take in what your professor is saying. Go over your notes at the end of the day and write down questions to ask your professor the following day. Don't be scared to ask questions!
