    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have always looked upon biology in a negative light. I thought the subject was hard and required too much effort. And it is true, however, Dr.Fernandez's enthusiasm and love for the subject and the material he teaches have inspired us as students to explore this subject even more. It became a class I am more excited about. I definitely recommend this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is that I came to understand the importance of studying to save and impact lives rather than to simply pass the exam.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study on a daily basis. At least an hour a day. Also, try to seek help from the instructor who is more than willing to help and see students successful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was very inspiring and I learned a lot about the human body. Professor Fernandez was always available when I had questions and made the material very understandable.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was when we learned about the heart. We were given the opportunity to handle the heart of a pig. This was very enlightening because it allowed me to be hands on with the valves and chambers of the heart in order to absorb the information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in this class you must study. I took a lot of notes and made many note cards. It was important to know how to spell the names of the valves and chambers of the heart, as well as the lobes and pieces of the brain. I spent a lot of time rewriting these names and saying them in my head many times over.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great instructor. Loves what he teaches and he encourages his students.

    Course highlights:

From this course I learned that you have to start studying the first day you go over notes. There are a lot of information.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait until the last minute to start studying. If you have questions, it is better to ask it early.
