    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this class. The material we covered was always made interesting and Dr. Emery is a very educated impressive lady who really knows her stuff. Dr. Emery is a straight shooter and a tough teacher, but if you study and listen you will do just fine. I love that she does not put up with BS from other students, you earn the grade you get, there is no need to ask for extra credit- you are in COLLEGE!!!

    Course highlights:

We learned so much in this class that I felt it was an add-on to my A&P courses. You do not go into detail about the body, but you go into detail about the processes of microbes in our body and that builds on the knowledge that we learned in A&P. I loved learning about microbes and how we attack them in our everyday lives. I am also much more aware of everything that is around me.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class you need to do three things. 1- Do the blueprint that she gives you for tests, that is where she comes up with the material for the tests from. You need to actually write out the answers and study them, its your own lame fault if you don't take advantage of this. 2- Do your homework. Seems simple- but there were a fair amount of students who did NOT do this. Duh. 3- Participate in class. If you participate you become interested and the whole class becomes easier and more enjoyable.
