Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Psychology 101 with Sabra Pelham is the best course I have ever taken! The course covered such a wide variety of topics and it allowed me to feel as though I gained so much knowledge into the field of psychology. This course was a great intro into all aspects of the field because it went over all branches of psychology.

    Course highlights:

I feel that I gained so much knowledge in such a short amount of time with this course. Dr. Pelham moves very fast through the units, but she is able to go very in depth into each topic. The professors lectures are easily the best part of the class. Dr. Pelham is very passionate about psychology and one can see that through her teaching. We learned a lot about the origins of and early experiments that have influenced present day psychology, and Dr. Pelham was able to keep the class interested throughout all of her units.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

During this course, it is key to take notes on chapter reading and write down vocabulary word definitions. You will be able to look back at your notes and study them for the tests. The professor gives a lot of extra credit opportunities throughout the quarter. The extra credit would usually take me about 5 minutes and there was one on every chapter, two or three a week. The extra credit alone raised my grade about 4% at the end of the quarter, so I highly recommend doing all the extra credit.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course material was really interesting, as you would expect a psychology class to be. The teacher was fun and the homework wasn't bad, but the tests were pretty tough.

    Course highlights:

Some of the units are very scientific; you learn about the brain and the biology behind it. Some other units are based on history, such as the history behind the creation of psychology.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study hard for the tests. The essays are really hard. Make sure you know the test material really well before well before the test day.
