    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course just because how challenging it is. Mr. Suttle really pushes you outside of your normal routine in the classroom. His tests are extremely difficult, but if you study hard, you will do just fine. I was able to get an A in his class, it just takes a very intentional effort.

    Course highlights:

He truly taught you to think about history and how to learn from it, even in our day-to-day lives. It was amazing to be able to apply something like the Civil War to our lives. Such as how individual conflicts can be dangerous if they're not handled correctly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Only take this class if you are ready to spend at least an hour of studying every day after school. If that isn't for you, then don't take the class. I have seen many people take the class and either fail or dropout. Don't skip any classes, as it is extremely difficult to get the notes for each lecture.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Suttle is said to be one of the hardest out of the professors to choose from. However, I enjoyed him and took both 136 and 137 with him. He really does care about his students and if you follow all the tips he tells you and you study the study guides he gives you then it is easy to get a good grade in the course.

    Course highlights:

Professor Suttle definitely hands out a lot of work. He taught me what it was really like to be a college student and to be pushed with so much information to study that you feel like you cannot do it. But you will learn that using your time wisely is key. Staying ahead and studying the material the minute you learn it is key to being successful in a course that requires you to learn so much information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of things. Professor Suttle gives you a study guide for every exam you take and he gives it to you before he starts covering the topics. So start studying all those terms as soon as you learn them. For every term, be able to say 2-3 things about them and the tests will be easy.
