Always Do the Reading
Great Intro to the Subject
Requires Lots of Research
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Biology is the study of life and it gives us an understanding on the basic functions of life. I encourage a student to take biology so that they may learn the basic principles of life. For example, how life originated and how you and I came to be through the studies of genetics. Biology teaches students about diseases and how to address specific pathogens when they arise. A student should take biology regardless of their major. It will provide an understanding to life’s past, present and future.
Learning about pulmonary and systolic circulation was exciting. The anatomy and physiology portions of this course really engaged me as a student. It taught me in a specific illustrated manner how the human body works and reacts to certain stimuli. Furthermore, it depicted what may happen when an organism is exposed to a pathogen. But, it also taught me how to address a situation where others or myself might have been exposed. It was an intriguing class that creates or reinforces a love for the study of the human anatomy.

Advice for students:
A student will receive a grade that they earn. Biology like any subject should be taken seriously. Always make sure to read ahead before each class session. This does not mean to read every single thing listed in the chapter. Instead skim over the material and familiarize your self with the topic. It will give you a sense for what to expect in class lecture. Furthermore, study through out the semester instead of attempting to study everything one or two weeks before exams. Studying through out the semester will give you an advantage when taking an exam. You will be familiarized with the material and not feel overwhelmed with all of the information. Biology will be what a student makes of it, easy or complicated.
