    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Young is a fantastic teacher whom genuinely cares for each and every student and will go through great lengths to help him or her succeed. I struggled in math and she always let me see her outside of class to ask questions and get extra help. I love her and will miss her dearly next year!

    Course highlights:

I learned sooo much this year. Probability, functions, quadratics, trig, logarithms, systems of equations, expontial equations, and so much more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and work hard and it WILL pay off. Dont try to worm your way out of work or it will come back to bite you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As tough and fast-paced as the class was, Mrs. Young really did try her best to teach new topics almost every class while also trying to help those who struggled as best she could.

    Course highlights:

I was part of the last class to have Algebra 2 and Trigonometry before Common Core rolled in. The trigonometry, while extremely tedious, I felt was important to learn. It helped when I took Physics this year, along with Calculus.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and look for resources online. A new topic is taught virtually each class, so it can be easy to be left behind. Know how to do the problem and remember that you have a reference sheet for a reason.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was an excellent course and the teacher was absolutely amazing. Mrs. Young made sure to teach everything in such a way that every kid understood what was happening and what to do. She was also amazing at always being available to you if you needed extra help.

    Course highlights:

I really gained a much better grip on math. The 2 years of math i took before this did not really teach me many things, and I found myself teaching the lessons to myself. Mrs. Young made going to class enjoyable and worthwhile, and I never once got bored in her class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely make sure to do all of your homework. Sometimes she may assign a lot but it really is so worth it in the end when you can take the regents and pass it with flying colors!
