This class was tough.
I would recommend this course because it gives you a whole new perspective on religions, 'magic', and things people believe in. This class is harder than other classes you would expect to be harder, like math or history, because of how abstract all the concepts are. When taking this class, you need to dig deep and analyze hard.
I gained another talent for analyzing things, as that is almost fully what this course requires you to do. I am better at picking out details and analyzing them, which is a skill needed in many other classes. Although the concepts were confusing, deep reading helped me understand. The classes were also wonderful. Dr. Adams has a knack for being both humorous and interesting during class. The topics are so interesting, which was a surprise because I never would've thought religion could captivate me. I looked forward to going to every class.

Advice for students:
To succeed, you really need to do the readings that are assigned. There are reading quizzes given frequently, and it's up to you to know the reading it's on. The good thing is that the teacher gives you the questions on the quiz beforehand and also lets you bring a notecard to look at on the quiz. So, just read thoroughly, take the answers down, and you'll do great on the quiz. Also, there are exercises that are essays. They are toughly graded, and just babbling through them to make two pages will not do. You need to concentrate and actually know what you are talking about. The teacher reads these essays thoroughly, so there is no way for you to pass easy on them.
