Always Do the Reading
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
If accounting is your major, then this course is definitely worth adding to your list of coursework. This course covers everything you need to know about accounting for businesses, Helping companies make sound financial business decisions is what it's all about. Very interesting and informative.
Accounting for Business Transactions is where you start, and then the course takes you through the financial statements and making adjusting entries. Next you will learn accounting for Merchandising Operations. Inventories and Cost of Sales is very interesting and pretty easy to grasp. Of course you will learn about accounting for receivables, long-term assets and liabilities. But once you learn the basic accounting rules and formulas it all starts to make much more sense. One of the last things you will learn is Corporate reporting and analysis, which is very interesting, but also is jam packed with a lot of information to try and memorize. So plan on spending extra time on that chapter.

Advice for students:
It is definitely very valuable information to have if your goal is to be an accountant after graduating. So yes this is one course you should take, it is totally worth every minute that you must spend learning. Learning the GAAP form of accounting, preparing financial statements, Knowing how to make assets = liabilities + owner's equity is worthless if you just go through the motions. The main objective is to learn all those things that I have mentioned. but to also know why you are doing what you are doing, You have to be able to say "I Get it" , without that, your just going through the motions. And what fun is that? You'll never be happy and successful, if you don't love what you do for a living.
