    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Pre-Calc was a perfect introduction to CALC and allowed me to pursue AP STATS and AP CALC as a senior

    Course highlights:

Teacher made Pre-Calc less frightning than it sounded and really pepared me for Stats and AP Calc

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Open mind - calculus is a "different" kind of math & dedication

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Gilbert was a dedicated teacher. She found time to meet with me before and/after school as needed. In addition, her instruction was varied to meet the needs of all of her learners. One example in particular is her flipped lessons. These allowed me to listen to her explain the lesson and play the video back as many times as I need to be sure that I understood the concept being presented.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the flipped lessons because I was able to learn at my own pace. I learned to take thorough notes and how to pay close attention. Through these flipped lessons, I was able to review before tests to refresh myself.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It is important to study and review the materials presented in class at home. Since the final exam is a cumulative state exam, the flipped lessons are an excellent tool for review and instruction.

    Advice for students:

Try your best and study hard and you will. Be okay.
