Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone in college, whatsoever. Niyogi herself is an impressive individual who teaches the course with grace and conviction -- there is a lot of reading, but you'll leave the course actually remembering things that will carry you through life differently.

    Course highlights:

Learning about race, gender, and class from such an incredible professor lead me to want to truly understand my material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your reading, you'll need it for the midterm and final.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor was very enthusiastic and well prepared. She used modern examples to show how sociology plays a role in our society.

    Course highlights:

Highlights would be that I was able to critically think about those who surround us and how society actually works. Every time I left the classroom I grew, in terms of reading the society.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to the lectures and as well as the words she says but are not on screen. Keep up with the news and implement what you have learned.
