Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Burns formats the class so you focus on your own programming skills. It is an online course but weekly quizzes and assignments keep you on top of everything. The class is weighted more on the programming assignments rather than exams because in the real world your programs are what matter.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned how to make projects with multiple files. I also learned to start my projects early because when programming, you never know when you are going to get a bug that takes hours(maybe even days) to fix.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Start your projects early and try to form a study group. I formed a study group with a few other people in the class and it was really helpful to talk out the projects before we started programming.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chern is an easy Teacher. If you take his class for Granted, you're not going to learn anything. However, if you do all the work and write out all the code yourself rather than copying Chern's Code, you'll take a lot out of his class. Do the work, don't skate by.

    Course highlights:

I gained a pretty thorough understanding of complicated Data Structures. I highly recommend taking this class prior to 210 (You don't need to). Stack, Queue, Linked Lists were primary among the ones you learned, and these are the basics.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do this before Comsci 210, great intro, you won't be lost in 210. 210 moves pretty fast, 200 is a nice mellow introduction and getting familiar kinda class
