Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Ditrano is sarcastic and funny in all the right places. He asks trick questions in class, yet is exceedingly fair on tests. I learned a ton in his class and laughed until I cried.

    Course highlights:

I gained a sense of humor, and an unshakable foundation in this extremely important subject.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework, it's mostly chapter outlines, but they pay off!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Bro. Nigel gives good in-depth lessons, although very disorganized. A decent amount of independent work is required.. occasionally there are sections you must learn yourself. If absent, it's difficult to pick up where you left off. He is a very knowledgeable teacher, and extremely helpful in arranging extra help and working with students after school to answer whatever questions you have. Physics overall is difficult, and Bro. Nigel is a difficult teacher so you must be up for the challenge. His test range from 60-80 questions with Part 2s, and the test grades are always curved because they are incredibly challenging.

    Course highlights:

This course goes beyond the textbooks and other classes. Bro. Nigel goes more in depth with the chapters than other teachers, although we do not get as many chapters done. We also learned about recent scientific discoveries, like Trappist-one and the inhabitable planets orbiting it. When it came to Electricity and Magnetism, Bro. Ni helps students not just to memorize things but understand how they work, especially with circuits. He also thoroughly explains vectors and diagrams.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is not a class to fall asleep in. If an option, sit front and center. Showing interest in class and going to extra help gains more points on the report card. Occasional reading assignments are worth reading because they may come up on tests. Take any extra credit opportunity you can.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Brother Nigel is an excellent teacher who makes the class fun and exciting with tons of demonstrations to capture your interest. Although his tests and quizzes can be tough, he teaches in such a way that helps you memorize all the material.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were demonstrations of electrostatics where he shocked the whole class and the 2,000 watt light bulb.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a highly beneficial class, but requires a great amount of time and effort. It is not an easy A but it will prepare you for any future physicists.
