    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

My government class with Mr. Kiggins was superb! I took it online this summer, and I was so scared that I wouldn't do well because I didn't know anything about politics. The assignments were straight out of the book (you had to actually read and learn the material to find the answers) and uploaded every Tuesday. I'm the type of student that likes to either get everything one as soon as it is given or procrastinate until the last second. However, I liked how I had the opportunity to work on them at any point during the week.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was that since we just had the presidential election, we had discussion boards every week about President Trump, and I learned so much about him and what is actually going on in our government rather than be oblivious.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to read the material, watch out for the due dates, and make time for the class if you take it online. The worksheets are overall easy, but they take a chunk of time out of the day depending on how many you do at a time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because it gives an excellent intro to American government. I was able to learn and get a lot out of the class without having much prior knowledge of the subject.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the timing and relevance. I took the class right when the 2016 presidential campaigns were going on, so I learned a lot about the candidates and the process used to appoint them.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students considering this course to pay attention, and go into the class open-minded. Many of my peers just take it because they need a credit, and they don't appreciate the content of the class itself. There's a lot to get out of it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Johnson is a great professor! He is really passionate about what he teaches which is an ideal factor in making a good grade in a course. He cares about his students and never gets frustrated answering questions. He has had experience being a Presidential Fellow in the White House which really allows him to bring a personal perspective to the table and to the course. I would highly recommend this course with Eric Johnson.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things about the White House and about politics that I did not know before. I learned many of the important positions in the White House and what they do, such as Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Transportation, and Secretary of Commerce. I had never heard of these before this course. Highlights of this course were working with groups in class. Discussing the topics we learned with my peers really helped me absorb the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To future students I would say to put in the time and your grade will reflect it. Studying is key. It is an interesting course and the material is very applicable in the world we live in today. I would take this course again.
