    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course was inconclusive about certain aspects of music appreciation, and it did not explain very well concepts unfamiliar to novice listeners. It may have been the professor or simply the course itself. It was a more difficult class due to the out-of-class assignments.

    Course highlights:

Despite a less-than-satisfactory experience, I did learn quite a bit about music, its fundamentals, and how to truly appreciate it. I learned various musical terms that I did not know before, and I also learned how to properly analyze a piece of music. I also learned about film music which was probably the best part about the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely pay attention to the professor and try to be in attendance as much as possible. Always do the assigned reading, as they will expect you to have read it. Be ready to interact with your fellow students, as there will be group projects and presentations.
