Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Fogel makes the class look at issues from all perspectives, not just her own. It is a very thought provoking class.

    Course highlights:

The best part was the journal entries, in which we actually had to adopt a viewpoint for a week and see how it affected our own lives.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep an open mind, because your views will be challenged!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I took this course instead of the Intro one because a friend recommended it to me. Professor Murphy wrote his own book for the course so the lectures follow pretty close, but that doesn't mean you should skip. He is excellent at teaching the information of this course! He does an outstanding job at breaking down controversial topics in an unbiased way so that they are digestible. His lectures really help you to become more concrete with your beliefs.

    Course highlights:

While in this class we covered the debates of abortion, gay rights, euthanasia, and a couple more. Having it been an election year the course honestly helped me better understand some of the viewpoints of the candidates.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Murphy gives you the essay questions before each test. They are word for word the same as what he gives you on essay day, so take the time to write out practice essays for each exam; it truly helps!
