    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

i LOVED human Anatomy and Physiology! It had me hooked. Who wouldn't want to learn about their own bodies? It was fascinating. Loved it. The tests were difficult but if you study well then you are good to go. I really respect the information and definitely carry it with me from day to day.

    Course highlights:

We learned all about the nerve endings in the body, how nerves impulses travel, all the muscles and bones, the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems, and the brain. We learned how the brain works and why certain reactions occur. We learned about the flight or fight responses and what muscles are in our arms and legs. Learning about the muscles was particularly fascinating and very easy. If you are into weightlifting this information will be very helpful for you. You will gain a great respect for your body and all it does for you if you take this course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! make flashcards. form a group of friends in your lab and study with them. Go to the tutoring lab.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

In order to get into most of the medical programs, this class is a prerequisite. The class is fun if you like and are interested in the medical field. The class will help one determine if the medical field is for them or not.

    Course highlights:

This class was difficult because we covered a lot of material. We covered muscular system, the bones, brain, etc. We did many practicals throughout the semester which really helps you understand each of the systems you go over in AP1 and having access to a cadaver really helped us students learn!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to watch videos and go over the material before coming to class. It will help tremendously with understanding the material you talk about in class and it helps when you have a question about something it isn't something that has already been covered with previous knowledge. however, no question is a stupid one!! Also taking the time and going out of your way to find friends in the class and studying together and working on projects with others helps out, especially if you find a friend who picks up the information faster.
