    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The Professor is wonderful and very willing to help students

    Course highlights:

Labs were 110% the highlights of this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a hard class but I would highly recommend sticking it out and do ALL the reading you can. I would also highly recommend the AP Chemistry guide by Dingle

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Doug is an amazing teacher who has his students best interests in mind. Chemistry can be a complex subject, but he is there to ensure the students understand, are engaged, and succeed at this class. He is one of the best teachers I have had.

    Course highlights:

We learned about the periodic table, stoichiometry, electron valence shells, and began to touch on molecular orbital theory. Time management was an essential component of this class. A passing grade is very difficult to accomplish without dedicating time to studies.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to dedicate yourself. I took the abbreviated summer course which consisted of 4 days per week and 5 hours per day of lecture/lab time. This was not even touching the amount of time we needed to dedicate to homework. I am taking the full sequence of gen chem this summer and have sacrificed a lot of my social life.
