    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Laurie is hands down one of the best community college professors I have ever encountered. I took her for Biology 20A and 20B, as well as for Biology 49 whihc was an independent studies cadaver prosection class. She knows her stuff, loves what she does and really cares about her students and their education. She recognizes that we all have different learning styles and so presents the information in numerous ways so as to make sure that everyone gets it. I love the fact that she is so down-to-earth. If someone asks a question she doesn't know the answer to, she always admits it but researches the subject and answers the question later. I highly recommend taking any of her Biology or Nutrition classes.

    Course highlights:

This was part one of a two-class Human Anatomy course. We started with human cell anatomy and function and covered about seven body systems. The class also had a lab in which we used microscopes and sometimes did various experiments and animal dissections.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend class regularly and talk to Professor Laurie if you aren't getting something. She is really approachable and makes special hours to come into the lab and help students who need it.
