    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr Park has a high level understanding of calculus and an ability to distill abstract theory into layman’s terms. He won’t make it easy for you, but he will give you the encouragement you need and advice for bookkeeping and study habits to make success attainable.

    Course highlights:

I learned an effective, organized system of bookkeeping which propelled me to the front of my calculus 2 and calculus 3 courses, and differential equations. Calculus is all about changing parts, and the further you go along, the more changing parts you will need to simultaneously track. Bookkeeping is essential for being able to check your own work, and to minimize errors. With careful bookkeeping calculus is a joy. Mr. Park taught me how to do this style of work.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Believe in yourself when you sit down to do the work. Have the courage to do your work. You will get things wrong, you will be confused and you will agonize. All of that is a sign that you are trying -- and if you continue to try you will succeed. Don’t give up. Take breaks, but then come back to it. You just can’t cut corners in math.
