    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend Robin Roy's Introduction to Psychology course at Las Positas College. Dr. Roy gives a detailed overview of psychology. This course will give insight on the various fields within psychology and will help psychology majors narrow down their interests within the field.

    Course highlights:

This course prepared me to read psychological research as well as understand the different areas within the field of psychology. One assignment that Dr. Roy had was to read an empirical study and write an evaluation of the study. This assignment was designed to introduce students to psychological research including the format of empirical studies as well as the vocabulary used to describe psychological research findings. This greatly prepared me for another psychology course where I designed my own research study.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to ask questions during class lectures and visit her during her office hours to discuss class material or any psychology related questions. Dr. Roy is an open professor who is willingly to answer any questions and actively encourages her students to participate. She is a knowledgable professor who gives great insight not only on the material covered in class but also on careers in psychology and continuing an education in psychology.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you learn a lot of things on how our brain works and why we react to certain things.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is probably how every chapter is different and how it all connects. It is very thorough and you will learn a lot on how the brain works and how we respond to things in our environment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice to always check your emails because sometimes there are things that are due and you would forget that it was due that day! Always check your account on blackboard to see the due dates!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course with this teacher specifically because it is a course that has a lot of good information to learn. This teacher just knows how to teach the material very well.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of different theories and I really liked that she was a productive learner. For example we did a experiment where you had to partner up and you were blind while your partner walked you around campus and vice versa.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the essays and know APA format.
