    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was very educational in what is happening in the economy today and how to interpret what is going on. It was not an easy course by any means, but after putting in the work I came out the class with more knowledge about our economy. Shumaker is a great teacher and bases her class off of the economic concepts, not the equations.

    Course highlights:

This class is graded heavely on 10 writing assignments. These assignments are graded with high expectations, but in the long run they made me a better writter. I really apprieciated the fact that I am now able to grasp some of the concepts about economics that are topics in the news and spoken about in everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you work really hard on your writting assignments, you can do well. The writting assignments are a huge chunk of your grade, so as long as you do well on them you can pass the class. I also made it a point to go in to office hours to get help on writting assignments that I did not understand.
