Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Accounting is a vital subject to understand for anyone that wishes to go into business, as it serves as the language of business. Without accounting, there are no checks and balances of the finances of a business, and information communication is more or less null and void.

    Course highlights:

While it is no walk in the park, accounting is a great subject to have under your belt as it teaches you the inner workings of the financial side of all businesses. It's a great course to take or field to pursue for people that love a solid, unwavering answer. Since it deals with checks and balances, there is no ambiguity, which many people appreciate.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with your homework and practice, practice, practice! It may be repetitive at times, but that's what can make it interesting and even fun. You will be discouraged at times, but don't give up. Once you get it, it becomes very straight forward. I highly recommend the Financial & Managerial Accounting textbook by Warren, Reeve, & Duchac. The language in the textbook is straight-forward, and the authors offer a plethora of examples and easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions.

Managerial Accounting teaches a student how all the fundamentals working together helps managers make decisions using an organization's financial data. An understanding of managerial accounting helps you figure out how much a product costs, analyze when your company breaks even, and budget for expenses and future growth.

    Hours per week:
