Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is structured well and doesn't include so much material that it is impossible to learn. The online homework was challenging but not overwhelming.

    Course highlights:

We learned the basics of chemistry. How to read a periodic table, the structure of an atom, and bonding.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review after every day of class and take tedious notes. Try to highlight the most important things and things you need to work on the most.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course has the potential to prepare oneself for CHEM 161, but professor Dabalos was not the best professor, but he did make all feel welcome to ask questions and see him during office hours. He runs off topic very often and doesn't always answer questions clearly. The median scores on exams were usually around a D or an F, even with the allowed cheat sheet (3x5 notecard), but homework was a good opportunity to raise grades.

    Course highlights:

I feel slightly more prepared to take CHEM 161.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and try to get a really good homework grade.
