Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class overall because it was a very interesting class and the professor tries to get everyone to engage. He constantly checks on his students to see if they understand the lesson and uses graphs, pictures, and lectures to make his lecture more interesting. There are five exams throughout the semester and there's no cumulative final exam at the end. As for the topics covered, I think that they are important to know because it deals with our ecosystem and we can observe them in nature.

    Course highlights:

In this course, we learned about the history of the earth, flow of energy in the ecosystem, the basis of evolution (Charles Darwin), sexual selection, logistic and exponential growth, trophic levels, etc...

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend reviewing the slides or your notes after lecture to remember them better. Pay attention in class especially when he's going over the graphs or figures. Read the chapter ahead so you can understand the lecture better. Lastly, participate and remember the i-clicker questions and do the online homework early.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Zellmer is excellent. I believed his practice exams were a good representation of the actual tests.

    Course highlights:

The lab quizzes were hard but they prepare you for the level you will be tested at on exams.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I appreciate that he would make appearances to lab and see how the students and TA's were doing.
